Description
Puri is a type of deep-fried bread originating from the Indian subcontinent. It is made from unleavened whole wheat dough that is rolled into small, round discs and then deep-fried until it puffs up and turns golden brown.
The frying process causes the puri to expand and form a hollow center, resulting in a light and airy texture. When properly cooked, puris are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
