Description
Roti is a staple Indian flatbread made from whole wheat flour, water, and sometimes salt. It’s a fundamental component of Indian cuisine and is enjoyed across the Indian subcontinent.
To make roti, the dough is kneaded until smooth and then divided into small portions, which are rolled into thin, circular shapes using a rolling pin. The rolled-out dough is then cooked on a hot griddle or tawa until it puffs up and develops golden brown spots on both sides.
